If You Marry a Maine Woman

Three friends married women from different parts of the country. The first man married a woman from Indiana. He told her that her responsibilities were to keep a clean house and do the dishes. It took a couple of days, however after the third day, he came home and found everything just as he had asked for. He reports that married life is a blessing.

The second man married a woman from Alabama. He gave her orders to keep a clean house, wash the dishes, and to prepare gourmet meals. After the first day he didn't notice any change, but after the second day, things started getting better. By the third day, she had the house clean, the dishes were washed and put away, and he had a full gourmet meal ready on the table. He reports that married life is indeed a beautiful thing.

The third friend married a gal from Maine. He ordered her to keep the house clean, wash and put away the dishes, mow the lawn, wash, iron and fold the laundry and have 3 full hot meals on the table each day. The first day he didn't see anything. On the second day he didn't see anything either. On the third day however, some of the swelling had gone down and he did start seeing out of his left eye, and his arm had healed enough so that he could make himself a sandwich and load up the dishwasher. He still has intense pain in his lower extremities and has trouble trying to pee. He reports to the doctor tomorrow and feels he will be better soon.
